Charles Edward Breen, of Hampton, VA passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at the age of 97. Charles was born in Norfolk, VA, and has been a life-long resident of Hampton.
After graduating from Hampton High School, he served in the US Air Force. Following his time in the military, he worked at the Railway Express Agency, and later retired as a Manager of The Fisherman's Wharf Restaurant in Hampton.
Charles is survived by his brothers Aubrey "Jerry" Breen, of Hampton, and Joe Breen, of Spring Grove County. He is predeceased by his parents, John and Martha Breen, and brothers, Jack Breen, Clarence Breen, Carl Breen, Norman "Potts" Breen, Kenny Breen, Robert "Sam" Breen and Harry Breen. Though never married, Charles was a beloved uncle to over 20 nieces and nephews.
A special note of gratitude to Charles' life-long confidant, card-playing mate, and partner-in-crime, his brother Jerry Breen. Also, his many nieces and nephews for their assistance and companionship over the years.
The family will receive friends 11:00-12:00, on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions, 2609 Cunningham Dr., in Hampton. Interment is at 1:00, in Peninsula Memorial Park, 12750 Warwick Blvd., Newport News.
