Hampton,

Carolyn Plasted, 70, passed away unexpectedly on December 4, 2024.  Born in Clifton, Oxfordshire, England, on October 26, 1954, Carolyn moved permanently to the United States in 1968. She has been a resident of the Peninsula since 1970, and graduated from Kecoughtan High School in 1973. She has worked for Hardees in Hampton for over 10 years, where she baked biscuits every morning. Carolyn was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was creative and artistic, loved plants, animals, music, going to the beach, and anything related to nature. Her two favorite things other than her family were butterflies and anything purple.

Carolyn is survived by her sons, Daniel Lee Garman and Colin Vann Garman; mother, Dorothy M. Ferguson; siblings, David Plasted, Paul Plasted, Donna Shahan, Richard Ferguson, Cathy Pedigo and Thomas Ferguson; and granddaughter Leeava H. Garman. She is preceded in death by her father, Peter Norman Plasted; and stepfather, Otto N. Ferguson.
