Carl Alden Simmons, Jr, 84, widower of Donna Faye Simmons, died Tuesday, June 8, 2021.  Born in Lancaster PA, he has been a resident of the Peninsula since 1980.  He served in the US Army during the Korean War and retired as an Air Traffic Controller in Miami after 5 years.

Carl is survived by his children, David A. Simmons, Scott E. Simmons and Lynda M. Petrie; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 AM Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions, 2609 Cunningham Dr. in Hampton.  Immediately following at 11:00 am, Carl's life will be celebrated in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Albert G. Horton Jr., Memorial Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
