Carl B. Butner, Jr., 68, passed away on July 29, 2022. Born in Nashville, TN he had been a resident of Hampton for over 20 years. He served in the US Army and currently worked for Healtheon, Inc.

Carl is survived by his wife Shelia; children, Rebecca Crawford (Dennis), Yvette Rochefort (Paul) and Carl B. Butner, III (Stephanie); five grandchildren; one great-grandson; and one sister Carolyn Willie.

In his early years of employment, Carl drove a tractor-trailer making deliveries all across the country and then later began working in construction which he enjoyed doing for the rest of his life. In his off time, he loved riding motorcycles, boating, fishing, vintage cars and watching the sunset alongside his wife. He was a member of the American Pool players Association (APA) in which he competed and won many trophies and trips which included several to Las Vegas. He met many great friends throughout his life and enjoyed hanging out with them or simply talking with them and was always there to help anyone.

Carl loved his family and was dedicated to his wife, children and grandchildren and will be forever in their hearts. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Carl's life will be celebrated 2:00 PM Friday, August 5, 2022, at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions.
