Bonnie Sue Reece, 87, passed away on September 6, 2023. Born in Hazelwood, NC, she has been a resident of the Peninsula since, 1954. She retired as a Tool Clerk from Newport News Shipbuilding in 1996 after 19 years. Bonnie also worked at Sears for 8 years. Bonnie loved animals, she had dogs, and also cats. She loved feeding the squirrels and birds.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her grandson, Jeffrey Gares. She is survived by her children, Randy Reece, Verlon Reece, and Vicki Gares; sister, Peggy Garwood; and grandson, Chris Reece.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Peninsula SPCA.
