Bobby Ray Stanfield, 72, passed away on August 28, 2023.  A lifelong resident of Newport News, he retired as a Shipfitter, from Newport News Shipbuilding in 2012, after 40 years.

Bobby Ray was preceded in death by his siblings, Mamie Leigh Martin, Larry Hilton Stanfield and Nancy Carol Evans.  He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Bobbie Jo Stanfield; children, Angela Dawn Owens and Jason Ray Stanfield; siblings, Jackie Carolyn Steinbecker, Bonnie Jean CheSheWalla, Vickie Gail Pasley, Danny Lee Stanfield, Ricky Dale Stanfield and Jerry Wayne Stanfield; grandchildren, Sidney, Helena, Dawn, J.J. and Debra; and great-granddaughter, Scarlette.

The family will receive friends from 11-12 Noon on Friday, September 1, 2023.  Immediately following at Noon, his life will be celebrated by Pastor Jerry W. Stanfield.
