Barbara "Bobbie" Lee Murphy, age 82, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023.

Bobbie worked for Signet Bank for years where she made friends that lasted a lifetime. Once the bank closed down Bobbie started working at Newport News Social Services where she retired. For many years you could also find her working at Dillard's wrapping presents. She always had the best looking bows. Bobbie was a die hard Redskins fan and didn't care what anyone, including her brother Bill had to say about it. She had the biggest collection of Bears and Redskins memorabilia. She loved her family and friends dearly. Bobbie was a wonderful woman with so much sass. She will forever be within our hearts and forever missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest Lee Murphy Sr., Mamie Nathalie McDermon (Murphy) and her brother, Ernest Lee Murphy, Jr.

Bobbie leaves behind to cherish her memory her brother, William Louis Murphy (Sherry); nieces, Tiffany Noel Ward, Shanna Nicole Murphy (Brian), and Heather Kay McElligot; nephew, Sean Patrick Murphy, great-nieces/nephews; Haley, Collin, Arletta, Peyton, and Luna; and many more family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 8, 2023 at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions, 2609 Cunningham Drive, Hampton, VA 23666 (757)825-8070.
