Yorktown,

Barry James Blaise Yachem, 61, passed away on September 13, 2024.  Born in Hazelton, PA, he has been a resident of Yorktown since 1984, over the last 40 years he was employed at Jefferson Labs and Huntington Ingalls.

Barry was a member of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus Council #17189 where he was a 4th degree knight and served as the Chancellor.

Barry is survived by his wife of 32 years, Tracy Yachem; children, Alex Yachem and Kaitlin B. Winkles (Austin); mother, Janet Yachem, sisters, Nancy Gilmore and Denise Yachem; and a granddaughter, Charlotte Jo Winkles.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 21 from 11-12:30 PM at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions, 2609 Cunningham Dr. in Hampton.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 23 at 1PM at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church, 3800 Big Bethel Rd. in Yorktown, By Rev.
