Anne Blanche Girard, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. She was born to Jack and Ingrid Carper in Newport News, VA, and she lived in St. Clair, Michigan for 20 years before moving back to Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Scott Carper. Anne leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 18 years, Terry Girard; sons, Jeff Tackaberry (Kelly) of Michigan and Jason Tackaberry (Lori) of Michigan; sister, Barbara Bane (George); brother, Jack "Doug" Carper; grandchildren, Seth, Peyton, and Jaxen; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved cats, Bubba and Angel. Ann's greatest pride was having three generations of firefighters in her family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA or the Humane Society in her parents' names.
