Andrew Gerard Garneau, 66, passed away on May 10, 2024.  Born in Athens, Greece, he has been a resident of Newport News since 2017. Andrew grew up in the Pinehurst, NC, area where he last worked in retail sales before retiring and moving to be with family in Virginia.  He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Newport News, VA.

Andrew was preceded in death by his wife Ona "Charlie" Chapman Garneau in 2017; and his parents, Bettye and Thomas Garneau..  He is survived by his sisters, Lisa Garneau Borland (Gayn) of Yorktown, VA, and Carrie Frances Garneau of Southern Pines, NC; nephew Wesley T. Porter of Newport News; niece, Brooke A. Quinn, and grandnieces Brianna and Isabella Quinn also of Yorktown.

The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 AM Monday, May 20, 2024, in St. Michael Hall of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church, 144 Harpersville Rd. in Newport News.  Immediately following at 11:00 AM, A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated for Andrew and Ona.  Inurnment will be a family ceremony in the OLMC parish columbarium.
