Amelia (Mickey) Hyde of Hampton, VA, died peacefully at home with her loving family after her battle with Alzheimer's Disease on February 24, 2025. She was born on April 13, 1940 in Somerville, MA.
She was the wife of her late husband, William Peter Hyde, a veteran of the Vietnam War and former Crypto-analyst and Crypto-linguist for the Dept of Defense, Ft Meade, MD.
She was the oldest of six siblings: three brothers, John, Robert (deceased), and James; and two deceased sisters, Karen and Theresa.
Amelia is survived by her daughters, Laurie, Sheri, Lynne, and Rhonda. Her late son Kevin and her youngest, Peter. She leaves behind ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Amelia (Mickey) managed her own business The Artists Flat in Annapolis, MD. She loved animals, especially her dogs, and time with her friends and children. She was a proud New Englander who also enjoyed the beaches in Maryland and Virginia.
Mickey, with her late husband and love of her life travelled the world together. She'll be greatly missed by all who loved her.
A service will be conducted 1:00 PM Friday, August 8, 2025 at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
